While you are all getting ready for Halloween, here in Houston it's time for Christmas. (Sorry this photo is crap, but it was taken from inside my moving car, in the rain, with my Treo phone...so it's pretty good considering.) Yes, that is a pretty bow archway, flanked by two Christmas trees and a couple of wreaths. It's OCTOBER 26th. Ridiculous.
But I hate to be a scrooge, so I went ahead and bought you a Banana Republic. Enjoy!

I love my Banana Republic!
OMGosh, that’s hilarious.
All the overpriced khakis I can wear! Oh, Rhonda, you shouldn't have!
We live in Northwest Houston and I was amazed to see Lowes and Home Depot both setting up their Christmas tree displays in September......on a 100 degree day. This is consumerism gone mad. MAD!!!!, I tell you.
Our local grocery store has had christmas stuff up for a few weeks now. Next to their main display is a sign saying that "while some may feel we're rushing the seasons, others like to get a jump on holiday shopping. We prefer to leave the choice up to our customers, rather than making the decision for them."
But here, it's already in the 30's, so it feels like christmas time.
