Kitty!

We have a new family member! He's an absolute sweetheart, but he's also a kick ass ninja kitty who put both dogs in line within 24 hours. Apparently he also has no nerve endings, because he's been brutalized by Scarlett and has yet to bite or scratch her. He's a keeper.

We've been running through names, but are having a hard time deciding on something. So take the poll below ... I'm giving the power to the people!

I tend to lean toward people names for animals, but we have a three year old participating in the process. See if you can tell which two suggestions are Anabella's.

okay, I voted -- actually I think Deuce is kinda cool. (My last few cats have been Bucky, Fiona, and Anchovy, if that helps...) I tend to let the cats pick their own names -- sit with it on your lap and rattle off all the names you can think of, and see which one the cat responds to!

Anchovy! That's great. I still like Deuce. Glad he is fitting in so well.

Boots (the monkey) is WAY cooler than Swipper!

I agree with Julie -- I have let my cats pick their own names and it works well. I can't stand the name "Pookie," but she simply was... a Pookie. It was out of my hands. Anyhow, congrats on the new family member!

How about Bubba?

FYI, I will never forget, and will periodically make "Bubba" references for the remainder of our blogging friendship.

Cats hate dogs but tolerate children for some reason.

I voted for Kitty.

I always liked the name Raferty for a kitty. Unfortunately I have always had female cats.

What about Kirby? Cute and rambunctious, but a little tough, too.

How about Felix the cat?
You can sing him that Felix the cat song.

I think you have done a fine job naming Ninja Kitty.... Ninja Kitty has so many nickname possiblities it's crazy!

Plus his face is very ninja-esque.

Hey?! It's Wednesday....

Julie - If I named this cat Bucky, I would never hear the end of it from Omar.

Kim - Boots sux. :)

Omar - I'm ignoring you.

Brian - Scarlett thanks you for the vote.

Dawna - Reminds of the annuities guy.

Christina - Like the vacuum?

Dan - Thanks, but no.

Heather - Nacho?

Sheryl - Hmmmm. Maybe. But Omar might pull some copyright crap on me.

Jax just got two puppies. She named the girl, Lady Bird and the boy? BACON!!!!!

Heather said...

Bacon? Oh, I like that name!

It definitely needs to be either Taco or Bacon.
