Apparently that's how monkeys do it. Hard to imagine stringy things would be a problem for animals that throw feces and sniff butts, but whatever.
2. If something is on fire, black smoke means no one is putting water on it yet.
We were watching a house fire from our 35-floor windows yesterday and my coworker Stephen says "no firetrucks yet." I'm all like "how do you know that?" and he says "no white smoke." Sure enough, five minutes later the black smoke turned white ... fire trucks on the scene.
3. Aerosmith's "Dude looks like a lady" is about Vince Neil.
Clearly, I am watching too much E! television.
4. Sonic has the healthiest french fries.
Thanks for the tidbit, Susan. Check out the full french-fry scoop.
5. Announcing layoffs makes everyone in your office crazy.
-- The B. S. Cafe is now serving paranoia and general disgruntlement.

Good to know about the fries, should keep me out of the chik-fila fries...McDonalds is another story.
I hate those stringy things!
And Vince Neil did(does?) look like a lady!
I didn't think monkeys bothered peeling them at all, that they either ate the skin too or just spat it out. Maybe it depends on they type of monkey.
I learned about the banana thing last year, and finally remembered to try it a month or two ago. Just pinch the end and it pops right open. And indeed, no strings. Crazy.
I didn't know that song was about Vince Neil. Dude DOES look like a lady.
We don't have Sonic around these parts. We still get their commercials, but don't get to enjoy their food.
Note to self: try the banana trick.
Was I the only one who had to ggogle Vince Neil?
I learned that banana thing a few months ago too.
Weird, how did monkeys figure it out and I didn't?
Sonic rules! But I'm more partial to the tater tots which are probably much less healthy than their fries.
So my sister, Susan Hunt, got me hooked on your blog, and now I am a regular reader. I also am a regular reader of the Economist, where I read this article last week, and I thought this would be just perfect for your WTF and "Things I've Learned Recently" categories.
