I am so f*cking OVER you...

...HURRICANES!

This is like the umpteenth time I have had to pack up my stuff, my kids and my animals, and get the hell out of dodge. After living in Houston my entire life, you would think I would have the hang of it, but I honestly don't remember having this many true "threats" in the past. Granted, I live a lot closer to the coastline now, but still. It's a pain the ass.

So, it is times like these that I am really glad we have a Hummer, and Father Al and everyone else who gives me a hard time about my H2 can just SUCK it. It is packed full of stuff and now I just need to cram in two kids and two dogs and hit the highway.

More soon.

Yea, we didn't have these type of storms growing up, Rhonda. We used to only have to worry about tornados going up Clay road towards Hwy 6...hahaha

Have a safe trip - where ya headed?

Stay safe and sane! I'll be "hunkering down" in Midtown. (Seriously, when did hunker become a word???)

Ummm, yeah. I was here during Hurricane Alicia in 1983. Remember that one??!??

Anyway, I paid for premium gas this morning because all the other gas stations around my house were out of gas. Crap. Crap. Crap. It's too late to go stock up on Beefaroni. We'll have to live on whatever we have because I am NOT getting into the middle of the Hurricane Doomsday Psychos out on the streets right now.

My grandma lives in Pearland, Rhonda. She needs a machine to keep her breathing in case of a respiratory failure. She refuses to leave her house even though 5 different people in the family offered to go get her and bring her to safety. She wants to ride it out. Are you freakin kidding me, Grandma?!!??? She lives with all the old people in that golf course place off of McHard Road. Everyone else around her was smart enough to pack up their crap and leave. Maybe as an Indiana Yankee she just doesn't get the severity that IKE poses. *sigh*

Have a safe trip, Rhonda!

I left you a comment yesterday in the Jazzy post, but I don't see it now. Please be safe. I will be praying for your family... and the whole area.

Let us know when you are safe and sound after the storm.

I just looked at the storm tracker and it has that badboy coming all the way up her to Michigan.

Been thinking about you all weekend (I know it's the middle of the week, but I was procrastinating). Hope all is well.
